Playmaker Strength & Conditioning offers:

Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) The SAQ training is designed to increase the athlete's linear and lateral
foot speed, their ability to quickly and precisely move through, around and over obstacles, and their ability to
accelerate quickly from their starting stance. Additionally, the athlete's balance, flexibility, range of motion and
upper and lower body strength are trained. All of theses variables are manipulated to achieve a strong and
stable core. Athletes as young as 9 can participate and benefit from SAQ training.

All Athletes receive:
  • Initial Baseline Fitness Assessment - to determine current strength, speed, agility and overall athletic
    ability.
  • 12 week Speed, Agility, and Quickness Training
  • Re-testing every 4 to 6 weeks - to evaluate athletes progress.
  • The Playmaker Sports Nutrition Guide to eating for athletes.
  • The Playmaker Speed Training DVD - to train at home and during the season.
  • Ability to participate in NSCA's Performance Index Camps - to measure your abilities against your peers
    world wide, online.

Pure Speed Training (PS2) The PS2 training is the next level of the athlete's training designed to further
develop the
linear speed of the athlete. This program involves bodyweight training, explosive lift training,
plyometrics, and advanced speed development techniques to maximize the athlete's speed. The program
seeks to improve: Starting Strength, Explosive Strength, Strength Endurance, and Limit Strength.

Explosive Power/ Strength Training  The Explosive Power/Strength training is a weight training program
designed not only to add lean mass to the athlete's physique, but also to make the athlete more explosive. The
program involves advanced weight training, including Olympic lifting and upper and lower body plyometrics.
The Explosive Power/Strength program is the perfect complement to the Speed, Agility & Quickness program.

Explosive Vertical Leap Training In sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and sometimes in
Football and Baseball, it is not only necessary to get up as high as possible, but to get up repeatedly, on
balance, while the upper half of your body is moving.
The Explosive Vertical Leap program is designed to teach the athlete proper jumping and landing mechanics,
along with leg strengthening and core stability  exercises to allow him or her excel in their sport.

Young Ladies especially need to beware of training programs which do not properly assess the athletes
current knee strength, mobility and starting posture, as improper training can and will cause injuries.
FACT: the majority of ACL injuries are cause by improper landings while jumping, landing etc.
