Dear Coach, Parent, or Trainer:
There is a phrase which is becoming a bit of cliche', but it remains true none the less...Speed Kills!
The athletes with the most speed, are the ones who get the opportunities make the plays. Make more plays than the other team, and your team wins!
That's the truth and you know it!
So, if you know that your athletes need more speed, (which is why you're here reading this), then how long are you going to wait to make your team the fastest and most explosive team in your area?
Are you one of those people who have been told that speed is something you have to be born with? That you can't train speed.
That is absolutely False!
I assure you, nothing could be further from the truth! Everyone can get faster, and continue to become faster over time with the proper training.
I know, I know, your team does a couple of sprints during practice. During the summer, you run miles and miles in an attempt to build your endurance. If that's your idea of conditioning for football the upcoming season...let me ask you this...

1. Establish a base level of fitness.
2. Find out your athlete's strengths and his or her areas which need improbement.
3. Develop a comprehensive training program which focuses on one to two improvement areas per period, and improves overall performance.
4. Assess your athlete' diet and nutrition, and develop strategies to improve total performance.
5. TRAIN HARD! to make sure they are the fastest, most explosive athlete(s) on the field, but also pre-hab common injury areas to prevent them during the season.
